The SportsCan Experience
AS STUDENTS
At SportsCan Academy, students experience a highly motivating learning environment.
Students are encouraged to challenge themselves academically just as they do athletically.
SportsCan provides an active, hands-on classroom approach designed to stimulate and challenge students and develop them into individual and life long learners.
At SportsCan Academy, we provide a complete Ontario Education curriculum for our students. All of our teachers are Ontario certified from the Ontario College of teachers.
AS ATHLETES
Our Athletes will experience a high level of technical and tactical skill development through our certified and highly experience coaches.
Each day begins with a 90 minute training session. Our training sessions will run an alternating day schedule where athletes will either be participating in their Sport Training & Physical Training or Sport/Conditioning sessions.
It is in these sessions athletes will learn what is needed to take their skills and performance to the highest levels.
An Educational Experience Designed to Piece Together Academic and Athletic Excellence!
Dear Parents of a Student-Athlete,
As a coach, teacher and parent of student-athletes over the last 24 years I have come to realize that those athletes that wish to excel at their sport and achieve in their academics are faced with many difficult decisions and sacrifices along the way that adds to their stress level and, I believe, impacts their ability to achieve their full potential. I also believe it does not have to be this way. This is why I have created Sportscan Academy. Our character focused school is geared to have the student athlete’s academic and athletic dreams work together to allow for ultimate success. We have gathered the best practices of the variety of sports schools across the country both public and private institutions and developed what we believe is a school that provides the student-athlete with a safe but demanding environment where they can develop all the necessary tools to achieve both their athletic and academic dreams along the way to becoming positive role models and leaders in the community.

Our program is designed to implement the core elements of athletic development (balance, flexibility, agility, speed, stamina and co-ordination) and basic sport skill (kicking, striking, throwing, catching, jumping, running) into a variety of sports and games to develop physical literacy.
SportsCan Academy
